Originally when this drink was published by the great Jerry Thomas in 1862, it was basically a mint julep with seasonal fruit as garnish. As the drink evolved, it became separate from the julep altogether and eventually the seasonal fruit was included in the drink, instead of just on top as decoration.

The Sazerac House is located at 101 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA (Corner of Canal and Magazine streets).
Curbside pick-up hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00AM - 6:00PM. A representative will be in contact to confirm pickup date and time within 48 hours of your order.
